Another great day for the 5th Brian Hitchins Trophy. Weather chilly to start with but warmed up nicely. Courts in pretty good condition considering they were burnt dry only 10 days ago. Refreshments from the new clubhouse were very welcome.
30 games played untimed, double banked on 2 courts starting at 9.30 and finishing at 6.30 made for a long day.
Well done John Poole for coming up trumps after a very slow start to beating Mike Nightingale 7-1 for the plate. Well done Paul Cottrell for winning 7-3 for the trophy in the final against Neil.
