Eynsham Smart & Fair Neighbourhood Trial is just one of a number of trials taking place as part of Project LEO. An additional opportunity is now available for residents to get involved in grid-balancing trials through a free app-based service called equiwatt.
equiwatt want to learn how collective electricity demand reduction at the grid edge - where households connect to the electricity network - can contribute to the decarbonisation of our energy system.
They are particularly keen for householders in our area to consider taking part. Participants get financial rewards and are also helping to reduce energy demand at times when the grid is most carbon intensive. You don't need any special kit to take part - just access to the smart phone app, and either a smart meter or a smart plug.
