We have a number of events planned at the library during the school holidays
Summer Reading Challenge 2023 "Ready Set Read"
Registrations for this year's reading challenge are going well. the challenge is open to all children aged up to 11 with a "mini challenge" for those under 4
This year's theme is sports, games and teamwork. Participants read 6 books during the holiday period and receive rewards (stickers, bookmark and pencil) as they progress, and a certificate and medal when they complete the challenge.
Guide Dogs UK visit Thursday 10/8 1.30-3.30
All are welcome to call in to the library to meet two guide dogs and hear more about the work that they do .
Table top "Sports Day" and craft event Wednesday 23/8 2.00-4.00
To fit with the theme of this year's reading challenge ,join us for some sports -themed table top games and craft activities
Fire Service visit Saturday 2/9 10.00-12.00
Our local firefighters will bring a fire engine to the front of the library and will be around to answer questions about their work, and give visitors chance to look aronud the vehicle and try on items from a Firefighter's uniform.
All events are free of charge and open to all. The Library team look forward to seeing you there.
