Increased opening hours 23 Jul 2021 Our opening hours have increased and the Summer Reading challenge has started

It has been good to welcome so many new and existing customers back to the library since we re-opened.

From the week of 19th July our opening hours have increased as follows
Monday 9.30 -1.00   2.00-5.00
Wednesday 1.00-5.00
Thursday 1.00 -5.00
Friday 1.00-5.00
Saturday 9.30-1.00

The 'open plus' out of hours service remains suspended but we hope to re-open it later in the year.

Following the further easing of COVID restrictions we also hope to start holding events and activities including our weekly 'Rhyme time' sessions soon. These will be advertised in the library, via the Eynsham Community facebook page and on this website.

We also wanted to let you know that the Summer Reading Challenge is back in libraries following a transfer to online last year. This year's theme is 'Wild World Heroes' with an emphasis on all things related to the animal kingdom and conservation issues.

Registration started on Saturday 11/7 and the challenge runs throughout the summer holiday period. The main challenge is for ages 4 upwards with a mini challenge running for younger children. All participants collect stickers and other rewards as they progress with reading 6 books over the summer and all challenges completed by Sept 11th will be entered in a prize draw.

If any local groups or organisations would like to publicise their activities with a display in the library window please call in for a chat. We also welcome your suggestions for future events to be held in the library.

We look forward to seeing you over the summer
