Festive Late Night Opening
You are invited to join us for a festive late night opening on Thursday 9/12 from 5.00-7.00 when there will be an opportunity to select holiday reading, participate in Christmas crafts and listen to festive storytime sessions at 5.15 and 6.00.
Christmas food waste recycling initiative
In conjunction with the County Council we are promoting recycling of food waste over the holiday period and beyond with the offer to pick up a free roll of food waste caddy bin liners from the library, starting on Wednesday Dec 8th. The offer is for one roll of bags per household while stocks last.
Return of Rhymetime
We are very happy to have been able to re-start our weekly ‘Rhymetime’ sessions on Monday afternoons from just after 2.00 where babies, toddlers and parents/ carers are welcome to join in with half an hour of songs and nursery rhymes with actions.
“Facelift” for the library building
In November our building received something of a facelift with the installation of new windows throughout. This has improved the overall look of the building, given extra light and allows for increased ventilation during opening hours.
We are happy to continue hosting window displays by local organisations and the first one after the new window installation was a very attractive display to publicise Bartholomew Players production of “Von Ribbentrop’s Watch”.
If you would like to use the window space, please call in for a chat and to make a booking.
Thank you for all your support of the library this year. Wishing you Happy Christmas and looking forward to welcoming you back in the new year.
