We have a number of events and activities happening at the library over the summer months…here are some of the highlights
Summer Reading Challenge 2024 runs from Saturday July 6th until September
the theme this year is “Marvellous Makers” with an emphasis on all forms of creativity
Participants up to age 11 can sign up at the library and then read 6 books during the summer with rewards after each 2 books and a medal and certificate when the challenge is complete. There is a mini challenge for those under 4.
OX trail 2024
This is a county-wide initiative in collaboration with Sobell House Charity. Local schools , businesses and community groups have decorated oxen sculptures which will be hosted in various locations, including libraries, from Saturday 29 June to Sunday 1st September. They form a sculpture trail which can be followed around Oxfordshire. We are privileged to be hosting a “mini herd” of 2 Oxen decorated by Eynsham Community Primary School and Bartholomew School.
There is a map available showing the locations of all the sculptures and an app to download at https://oxtrail2024.co.uk
