Eynsham Library News

The Library is open again :) 17 May 2021 update on opening hours and news of a job vacancy

Hello from the Library team. We have been open since April 12th and it is great to see so many of you returning to the library and to be welcoming new members as well.

We remain on slightly reduced hours which are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1.00-5.00 and Saturday mornings from 9.30-1.00

For the time being COVID safety measures and the use of NHS test and trace remain in place and we would like to thank everyone for the way you are observing these when you visit us.

We are currently looking for a new member of our team to work with us.The role is Customer Service Advisor and is shared with Carterton Library. The hours are 13.5 a week and when we are open full hours again the postholder would be working Thursday and Friday afternoons at Eynsham plus 2 Saturday mornings a month and one Saturday a month at Carterton. The job is advertised as "peripatetic" as staff can also be asked to cover at other branches when required. The contract is temporary until 31/3/2022 ,closing date 28/5 and interviews will be held in the week of 7/6. Details can be found on the Oxfordshire County Council vacancies page and the "indeed" job search webiste. Please do call in for an informal chat about the job if you are interested .

In other news, we can offer window display space to any local organisation so please get in touch if you'd like to brighten our windows in this way.

We are also hoping to be able to start  holding activities and events again soon and will post here once we have dates for this. We are open to suggestions for any future events you might like to see happen at the library

Thanks for reading and see you soon Jane, Pam, Carole and Jan
