Eynsham’s Traffic Talk-in 25 Oct 1974 A public meeting to explain the Eynsham traffic management scheme has been arranged by Oxfordshire County Council.

Village views sought on plan

The scheme, which is intended to improve traffic conditions in the centre of Eynsham and includes proposals for lorry routes and one-way streets, has been approved by Eynsham parish council.

It was discussed at an earlier public meeting at the end of last year, and notices and plans have now been displayed in the village inviting public comment.

Maps of the scheme will be on display at the meeting.

It will be held at St Barthomew’s School, Eynsham, at pm on October 29.

Mr Roderick Young. The assistant county surveyor, and Mr John Bury, Oxfordshire county councillor, will answer questions, and the chairman will be Mr Edmund Price, the chairman of Eynsham parish Council.

Any comments will be considered by the county council highways committee.
