A Zero Carbon Transport Network? 11 Jan 2022 Have your say on the County Council’s draft Local Transport and Connectivity Plan

OCC’s draft Local Transport and Connectivity Plan (LTCP) aims to provide the backbone for the council’s commitment to invest in an inclusive, integrated and sustainable transport network for the county.

It looks at ways of reducing the need to travel and discouraging unnecessary individual private vehicle use by making walking, cycling, public and shared transport the natural first choice - with an ambition to cut car journeys by a quarter by 2030 and increase the number of cycling trips from 600,000 to a million by 2031.

You will find a clear outline of key messages in the executive summary, following links from there to further detail which interest you.

Two public webinars are also available, on 25 January and 7 February.

You can have your say on the Plan by registering on Let's Talk Oxfordshire (if you’ve not done so already). You do not have to answer all the questions!

The consultation is open until 16 March, with final adoption of the Plan currently scheduled for summer 2022.
