A 21st Century Garden Village? 15 Oct 2020 Area Action Plan consultation for the GV. PLEASE SIGN LETTER to ensure it meets the needs of people, wildlife and the planet!

Amazingly, West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) have listened to the people!. With Climate Action as a 'golden thread', they have prepared a legal Plan for the Garden Village; a Plan that has potential to make it a 21st Century development that meets the needs of people, wildlife and the planet!

As you know, EPIC and GreenTEA have always considered the site of the Garden Village to be wrong for all the reasons we know! But since the site was approved by the Inspector and is in the legal West Oxfordshire District Council's (WODC) Local Plan, we have strived, with residents in Eynsham and surrounding villages, to ensure it will be the best it can be ... Now, at this final stage, we think that the policies of the WODC's Garden Village Area Action Plan (AAP) can potentially deliver something approaching the kind of village our community has been fighting for because the Plan puts tighter, enforceable controls on developers.

Do take a look at the community letter we have prepared for people to sign. It is a shortened version of our joint formal response to the AAP consultation. We have made it even easier and quicker for you to contribute than in previous consultations. This is how. Click on our letter. If you agree with the content and the suggestions we have made, all you have to do is simply reply to us at this email address (epic2031@gmail.com) saying you support the letter and giving us your name and postal address (which WODC requires). We will add your name and address to the letter and then on FRIDAY 23rd October (the consultation deadline), we will send the letter with all the signatures to WODC. Please get them to us by 9.00am on the Friday.

Please share this email with your family, friends and social media networks

Rest assured that we will never share your name or postal address with anyone for any purpose other than this community letter. If you prefer you could contact WODC directly (details below), saying that you support the community letter and, if you want, add your own points. Alternatively, you could create your own response.

PLEASE TAKE ACTION!
It is the last chance we have to ensure the Garden Village REALLY is the best it can be!

Warm wishes
The EPIC & GreenTEA teams
