2022 was an extremely busy year for Eynsham Country Market in many ways, but one of the main highlights was when we reached the finals of the Plunkett Foundation Rural Community Business Awards and became a runner up in the the 'Inclusivity' category. Two representatives from ECM, Judith and Rachel, travelled to London to attend the awards ceremony which was held in St Martin-in-the-Fields on Trafalgar Square. The worthy winners in the category were Islip Village Shop but Judith and Rachel were very proud to accept our runners up certificate from special guest Charlie Ross (of Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip fame).
This award is proudly displayed in the Bartholomew Room during our market. It has spurred us on to work hard in 2023 so that our market can continue to be enjoyed by everyone in the local community.
