Food Bank Christmas Appeal Launched 15 Nov 2022 Let's make sure there's enough for everyone this Christmas

Thanks to the generosity of the local community and the support of a team of Christmas Elves (led by Laura Stringer and Andy Goodwin), for the past 2 years we have been able to give each of the households supported by the food bank a box of Christmas treats to help see them through the festive season, as well as Amazon gift cards, and a wad of "Eynsham Vouchers" to be exchanged for goods and services at the brilliant retailers, pubs, and restaurants in our village.

We know that these are challenging times for everyone, but we need to raise around £4000 again this year to ensure we can continue to make Christmas a little easier for people who find the festive season particularly hard. Our hope is thateveryone has a chance to celebrate with friends and family - and that we have enough funds left over to secure the future of the food bank in 2023.

Online donations are welcomed at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/eynsham-foodbank-christmas-appeal-2022 or you can add festive treats to the collection baskets in Co-op, Spar or The Market Garden before 5 December.

Any excess funds will go towards funding weekly food parcels. The food bank currently costs around £500 a week to run, and we anticipate demand will grow in the coming months.

If you'd also like to set up a regular donation or have any questions please email Bob Thiele or Laura Stringer on eynshamhelp@gmail.com. And if you know of anyone who is in desperate need of help, call the food bank's dedicated phone line on 07450 328 530.

Neighbours helping neighbours is part of what makes our village so special.
