Eynsham in Bloom took over in 1982 and ran for many years. 1977 Silver Jubilee: Market Square renovation proposal (see gallery). In the event, the Jubilee Fund was used to purchase the freehold of the Market House. 1982 planting at the Fishponds: Eynsham Society members, primarily Robin Saunders and Dave Russell, planted over 1,000 trees around the village in the 1970s and 80s. 2000 Millennium Wood: hundreds of villagers donned their boots, grabbed a spade, crossed the A40, and planted a couple of trees each on a 13-acre field opposite the Evenlode restaurant... 2010 anniversary outing 2015 bluebell planting 2001 Village Design Statement: review of landscape; social and recreational facilities; traffic; buildings and architecture. 2015 celebrating 800 years of ‘Newland’ 2016 Community Spirit Award for Bartholomew students 2018 protest to Robert Courts MP on County Council bus lane proposal. 2020 grant to Eynsham Nature Recovery Network - acknowledged here 2022 grant to Eynsham Online CIC - see rotating banner above.
