Lentus has designed and manufactured their own SuperFlex discs for various motorsport and automotive companies over the years.
The SuperFlex is a composite “disc” that acts as a coupling device capable of torque transfer between a composite propshaft and a compatible gearbox configuration.
The unique design about the SuperFlex is that it allows for transfer across a non-constant angle. It can also cope with up to 2 degrees variable angle which allows for relative movement in the system. The clever thing is, this technology can be transferred to the wind energy and aerospace sectors too.
