About

Alice Walker Art Classes, Workshops and Courses at Mill Street Arts.

All abilities and ages (adult) are welcome at any class; the only prerequisite is that you are willing to give it a go! In general, my classes follow a term time pattern across the academic year, and include a range of short and longer projects. I aim to cover a broad range of techniques, approaches and subjects across the whole year.

These include: drawing, painting, direct observational work, personal research, demonstrations, artists’ studies, imaginative composition, colour mixing, focus on specific media, group critiques, drawing on location, collage, printmaking, figure drawing and more!

Draw, paint, print and more

Continuing in the style of Alice’s popular long running art classes these classes are for anyone who wants a weekly opportunity to explore and play with paint, pencils, pastels and more in an inspiring and supportive environment. Developmental and project based covering a wide range of media, approaches and styles. All abilities welcome. Class size 13 max

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 10am-12.00 noon £15 per session

Fridays 12.30-2.30pm £15 per session

Improvers (Daytime)

This course focuses on the foundations of drawing and painting exploring different media and techniques and building essential skills for developing your artistic abilities and inclinations. Lose your fears and gain new skills and confidence.
