It is a most convenient halt for either the passing road traveller, or for a longer stay, situated as it is only 6 miles from Oxford, with its many interests and amusements, and on the edge of the Cotswold country famous beyond all districts for beautiful villages. The Evenlode Hotel is built in the Cotswold tradition, with the lovely warm coloured stone, and the stone roof of the district.

The road it is on, stretches right away over the hills to Cheltenham, the Severn Valley and Wales, and is one of the finest both for scenery and surface in Britain. On this side the small towns of Witney, Burford, Northleach, and countless villages offer endless variety to those interested in old England.

In other directions from the Evenlode Hotel are the rich meadows through which winds the upper Thames, these also set with beautiful villages and magnificent churches. The river Thames is particularly beautiful in these quiet restful reaches above Oxford.

In this old world setting the Evenlode Hotel provides the most modem accommodation, excellent bedrooms with luxurious beds, hot and cold running water throughout, and all up-todate fittings.
