Wharf Stream
The Wharf Stream carried waterborne freight between Eynsham and the Thames for over 600 years and played a key role in our economic history. From 2006 to 2018 a small team of volunteers worked weekly, to open it up again for leisure and recreational use. They say: ‘The Wharf Stream Team has achieved the original objective and now I guess the aim will be to maintain that access. And to keep the area near the bridge free from litter and maintain a natural wildlife supporting riverbank.’
