Mill Street Arts coming soon! 29 Aug 2023 Arts education, events and exhibitions will soon have a new centre in Eynsham.

It has long been my dream to have a teaching space to call my own -where I can house all my resources, tools and art materials in one place.

Well it’s official -I have just signed the lease on 66 Mill Street, Eynsham and am making much needed renovations to turn it into ‘Mill Street Arts’. As well as being a space I can teach in, have my own studio and store all my stuff it is also ideal for exhibitions -continuing and expanding the wonderful Eynsham Art Window that has been enjoyed by so many.

In addition to the classes and workshops I will teach it is my plan that the space be used for other creative classes and groups led by other local artists and crafts people. I’m hoping there will be a regular life drawing class and some of the other local specialities like willow work, folk music, creative writing, calligraphy and many more.

There is a fair bit of work that needs to happen on the building before that including the installation of a disabled toilet and kitchenette, some serious electrics and lighting overhaul and then the buying of tables and chairs- all very necessary.

On that note please would you consider helping me with raising funds? Alongside self funding the renovations I am also seeking relevant public grants that are available for community focused initiatives, especially ones that aim to increase access and inclusion. However, the costs are considerable so if you think this is a worthwhile project and are able to help it get launched by donating I would so grateful.

Follow this link if you would like to donate.

See the progress so far

I do hope you will support and enjoy this new creative chapter in Eynsham colourful community story.
