- Choose low carbon ways to travel - boots, bike, boat, bus
- Try some local/vegetarian/vegan food*
- Go zero waste by using recycled/resuable packaging
- Do a planet friendly activity
Get packed and go!
- Celebrate what you have done for the planet last year and think about what you would like to do next year
- Eat, chat, play
- How many species of plant or animal or insect can you identify? **
- Make a record of your day: take photos, videos, make sketches of anything you could use in your competition entry. Note down anything that would have made your day better.
Submit your entry!
- Make a collage, design a poster or video explaining why your day was good for the planet now and for the future.
- Answer the question: If you could give the government and world politicians at COP 26*** one piece of advice to help us stop the climate and ecological emergency, what would it be?
- Complete an entry form here! Online submissions open 3rd August and now close at midnight on Monday 13th September You can upload one or more electronic files (a film, a .pdf, a sound file, or a .jpg) or a picture of what you've created (and we'll be in touch to arrange drop off and pick up of your physical entry, or you can take it to your school on the first day of term). Get in touch if you have any questions or problems with the form.
Winners will be notified on 17th September. There will be age-appropriate prizes kindly put together by The Curiosity Box for KS1, KS2 and KS3 level entries.
A gallery of entries will be displayed and hosted on the Eynsham Great Big Green Week website, at our Great Big Green Week exhibition, and shared on social media from 18-26th September
