Although not a stone from this great foundation can be seen on the original site, fragments survive in cottages at the heart of the village.

The newer, southernmost area of St Leonard’s churchyard behind St Peter’s is managed by WODC and cut every two weeks in the growing season. The older area is tended by volunteers - contact the Church Office, which can also advise on headstones.

• The District Council has provided several dog waste and litter bins around the village. Responsible owners, please note!
• In the interests of public health, dogs are not allowed on the Oxford Road (north side) playing field. On the south field they should be kept under control at all times.

Parish, district and county councillors are elected for a term of four years, MPs for five years. Elections are usually held on the first Thursday of May in the Village Hall - most recently 4 May 2023. Last parliamentary (general) election was held on 12 December 2019.

• The Abbey Fishponds are the only remnants of this great foundation to survive in their original setting. They were created in 1217, by diverting the road and stream (and incidentally much enlarging the Abbey precinct). The Parish Council manages the area on behalf of Fields in Trust, to protect its past and enhance its biodiversity. Access from Station Road.
• Eynsham Wood to the north of the village was a Millennium project, supported by the Woodland Trust: 13 acres within the ancient Wychwood Forest - planted in December 2000 and maturing steadily. Access via crossing points on the A40 and from Freeland Road.
