Forever Fields 2023 www.foreverfields.co.uk

Creating an Art Archive of 3,400 acres of threatened Oxfordshire countryside.
Open to all adults and children, individuals and groups. No previous artistic experience necessary, we want YOUR creative response to our local landscape.

Begbroke, Bladon, Botley, Cassington, Church Hanborough, Cumnor, Eynsham, Farmoor, Freeland, Glympton, Long Hanborough, Tackley, Woodstock, Wootton, Yarnton

Did you know? We could soon lose almost every field for miles around us…

• If the Botley West solar farm is constructed, up to 3,400 acres of our precious local countryside will be covered with 1.5 million solar panels for up to 40 years.
• It is claimed that at the end of 40 years, this enormous solar farm will be removed.
• Forever Fields 2023 is asking local people to record their experience of these beautiful fields now, because they may soon be lost for decades.
• The experience can be paintings, drawings, photographs, sound recordings, video and creative writing.

What will Forever Fields 2023 achieve?

  1. A Forever Fields Art Exhibition later in 2023 where the paintings, drawings, photographs, sound recordings and video can be seen and heard by the general public.
  2. A Digital Art Archive of our precious local landscape in case it is needed as an important reference point in returning the land to green space and countryside in the future.

What you need to do next?

  • Go to foreverfields.co.uk and submit the Expressions of Interest and Permission form. Closing date for registering your interest is Autumn 2023
  • Choose your favourite aspect of our local landscape that could be lost as part of the Botley West solar farm.
  • Paint a picture, draw a sketch, take a photo, video or sound recording, write something. Be as creative as you like.
  • We will keep you informed of the Forever Fields 2023 Exhibition and Digitalisation plans as they develop, so that you know where and when to bring your work for exhibit.
