We would like to thank all the participants for taking part in this year’s amazing Flower Festival at St Leonard’s Church over Carnival Weekend.
There were 36 displays and every one was admired by the public. The church smelt wonderful & with the sun coming through the windows, it made us forget the last 2 years when we couldn’t all get together & appreciate our community.
The total donation amount raised for 3rd Eynsham Brownies, was an a wonderful £197.88, which will be spent on a special outing for the girls. Shirley and I presented the cheque at their end of term picnic held in the Scout Hut.
May we thank our team of volunteers who came and marshalled at the church and Lucy for hoovering up the mess when the church was cleared on Monday. Another thank you also goes to St Leonard’s Church, for letting us use this beautiful venue for the Flower Festival.
We are now “stepping down” from organizing the Flower Festival having done it for 3 years, so we do hope someone from Eynsham will come forward to carry on this annual tradition which always coincides with Eynsham Carnival.
