Whether you’re already a keen runner who pounds the streets on a regular basis or just like the idea of an occasional run with a group of like-minded people, the Eynsham Roadrunners are a friendly and welcoming group of people with members of all abilities, ages and motivations. The idea of joining any club can be a daunting prospect, but from the very first time you make contact with Eynsham Roadrunners you are made to feel instantly at ease.
As well as being a respected running club at county level and participating successfully in many local competitions (including our very own Eynsham 10k event), it is, perhaps, the social side of the club which really makes it stand out from the crowd. The club meets at 6.30pm every Wednesday night at the Eynsham sports pavilion, but, in addition, a separate social committee puts on a series of events throughout the year which all members are welcome to take part in. A Salters Steamer trip, a weekend away walking in Snowdonia, canoeing along the Thames and a quiz night are just a few of the events planned for the second half of this year.
Whether you have aspirations to be the next Mo Farah, or simply want to get a little more active, then ERR are worth a punt. Anyone is welcome to come down to the club to give it a try to see if it is for them before committing to becoming a member.
