Changing Times 30 Oct 2024 A welcome to the organisations that have set up here in the last 12 months or so - and a salute to those that have gone.

The Eynsham Directory promotes local organisations all year round – for free. Over 300 groups and businesses were listed at last count. Do get in touch if you’re missing out!

  • Age UK Strength & Balance was a popular weekly class among more energetic groups but struggled to find a local tutor.
  • Eynsham Art Window, a creative response to Lockdown, closed in July 2023 when the premises changed hands.
  • Care with Care Ltd covered a five-mile radius for 22 years but closed for lack of staff.
  • The Community Resilience Forum, a partnership with the local police, survives in art on the kickwall and memories of Pimp My Bike.
  • Dance like your children aren’t watching was certainly worth a try…
  • Eynsham Judo Classes closed after 50 years when Jonathan Gerrans retired.
  • Jack fm, Eynsham’s first local radio station, closed its doors in October 2023
  • Jadawin Tattoo Studio – a successor to Mr Matt – handed on its High Street space to Jessie’s Art Shed.
  • Needle & Thread in the Baptist Hall – a companion to Craft & Coffee?
  • Puncturefix and Violin Tuition sadly moved away – best wishes to Maarten and Hannah.
  • West Oxford Animal Charity Shop leaves Mercy in Action unchallenged.
