Nancy Jenkins lost her husband recently and was remembering their wedding anniversary when Age Concern arranged a visit. But she opened the door to another special visitor: David Beckham, with a tote bag full of thoughtful treats packed by his family. So what began as quite a sad day turned into a very memorable one.
Sue Harverson writes… ‘[With] so many offers of help, there is no need to feel alone in these scary times. When I clap for the NHS and Carers on Thursday night, I am also applauding the local volunteers, the staff in our shops, bin collectors, delivery drivers and more. They are all helping to keep Eynsham safe’.
