Eynsham Coronavirus Support News 30 Apr 2020 The latest developments in support for Eynsham residents during the Coronavirus pandemic

Eynsham Food Bank

Has your income been affected by the COVID-19 lockdown? Our well-stocked food bank is ready to support anyone struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic on a regular or one-off basis. We can also arrange access to support or advice for anyone facing financial hardship. Email eynshamhelp@gmail.com or call Bob Thiele on 0773 806 3083.

Local Coronavirus Support Website and Directory

The Eynsham Heroes now have a website summarizing local help available, including a directory of local collection and delivery services, and resources for wellbeing. We also have a calendar detailing relevant local events.

Support for the Surgery

Thanks to the generosity of those who have donated to the Eynsham Heroes support fund we have been able to supply Eynsham Medical Centre with 5 new pulse oximeters to measure oxygen saturation levels in suspected Coronavirus patients and 200 masks. Don’t Suffer in Silence!

If you are isolated and need help with errands or essentials, or just fancy a chat, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are now batching non-urgent prescriptions for twice weekly pick-up. That means 57 fewer people queueing and passing through Lloyds pharmacy in the last 12 days alone, and lots of volunteers on standby to help in other ways! To request or offer help, or to join your local neighbourhood WhatsApp group (for mutual support), email Eynshamhelp@gmail.com or call Eynsham Good Neighbour Network on 07443564516.

If you have any ideas for how we could give additional support to our most vulnerable and isolated villagers, especially those not so in touch with social media, let us know!
