300 children of all ages enjoyed a 'party' service at St Leonard's to celebrate Jesus' birthday on Christmas morning. The vicar, Duncan Fraser, played "Pass the Parcel" as congregants unwrapped Christmas, Birthday, Baby, Brown and Newspaper paper from a box of Celebration chocolates which were shared at the end of the service. A football chant of "Glory - clap, clappity clap" recalled the angels message to the shepherds. A birthday cake, with no candles as Jesus was nought when he came, was cut up and shared out. "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" finished the morning as balloons with their prayers inside were batted around the church. And an invitation to find Jesus - who promises that all who seek him will find him - was given.
