NRN Hedge Planting 14 Dec 2025 10:00 - 15:00 at Long Mead

The continuation of our epic one kilometre of hedge laid in January in one day! Come and help us extend the hedge as part of our ambitious Hedge in Time project at our community meadows below Swinford lock.
 
This NRN project began in 2020 in the Witney Road playground during Covid, since then NRN members have planted nearly two kilometres of hedgerow in 8 schools and villages in and around Eynsham. The idea, inspired by Freeland farmer Robert Crocker, is to connect up our villages, rivers and meadows by hedgerow

The whips that we all planted last year now flourishing, and so we are planning to plant even more this year, on the 60 acres of land that we have leased for us all to restore adjacent to the River Thames.
