THIS MONTH - Our speakers will be Michelle Tanner, a Rotarian from New Zealand, whose club is the sponsor of our current Global Grant Scholar, Jackson Mason-Mackay, also from NZ. Jackson is studying at Wolfson Colege, Oxford for a DPhil in Population Health.
"As a demography student, I shall focus my research on measuring vulnerable populations, particularly for the purpose of delivering humanitarian assistance. I shall look at new ways of monitoring forced displacement in crisis-affected contexts. This has a regional focus in Latin America, but the scope may be expanded to include additional regions."
Every fourth Tuesday of the month Rotary Club meets to share a delicious RED LION meal and enjoy a talk from an invited speaker.
The speakers are often from local charities, interest groups or good causes. Information will be posted for individual events.
These meetings are open to all so if this appeals to you and you would like to come along, you will be warmly welcomed.
