Wildflower Meadows: midsummer fun 22 Jun 2024 10:00 - 15:00 at Long Mead This is the next in our series of regular meetings to start restoring the 50 acres that we have leased adjacent to the river Thames. This is land where we can all help restore the nature around us. We will be continuing the preparation of the meadows, sowing wildflower seeds to grow through the summer and plant out in the autumn, preparing the land where we can, by hand and planting some of the wildflowers that we grew last year where they won’t get disturbed by the large-scale restoration with tractors and green hay from Long Mead that will take place in the summer.
