Fledgelings Sing is a Stay and Sing activity for all under fives, from babies to four-year-olds, using a variety of songs and activities including favourites such as Wheels on the Bus, the Hokey Cokey and Sleeping Bunnies along with colourful props and toy musical instruments.
There is a routine, of course, starting with It’s Time to Say Hello and some simple finger songs, moving onto more active songs before the Prop Box puts in an appearance, then we all stand up for songs on the move, finishing up with the guitar and calm time. Afterwards the blanket comes out for free play with the musical instruments and simple refreshments such as rice cakes and water or squash are available. This is the time for the grown-ups to catch up and have a chat.
It costs £2 per family per session so there is no extra charge for families with more than one child and I ask you to book a day or two before each session as it helps enormously with the preparation. New faces are always very welcome.
