Eynsham Heritage Day 19 Mar 2022 10:00 - 16:00 at Bartholomew Room

Eynsham Heritage Day will take place on 19 March 2022, with an exhibition in the Bartholomew Room and tours of the Abbey site and the village.

• ‘Eynsham Abbey’ Walking Tours (45 mins) Leaving St Peter’s car park at 11:45 and 15:00.
• Exhibition at the Bartholomew Rooms including the archaeology and social history of Eynsham and historical photographs of the village. Have you found anything potentially archaeological? Want to find out more? Show it to the county’s Finds Liaison Officer for answers.
• Family activities at the Bartholomew Rooms, including Eynsham I-Spy, Medieval Crafting and the ‘Doors of Eynsham’ quiz.
• ‘Eynsham Archaeology: Hidden in Plain Sight’ Walking Tours (60 mins) Leaving the Bartholomew Rooms at 10:15 and 13:45.
• Drop in to St. Leonard’s Church between 12:30 and 14:30 to ask Victoria Thomas about its history
• Look out for pop-up exhibitions in Eynsham Library and Evenlode DIY in the days leading up to the Heritage Day.
• The Pottery and Old Forge in Newland Street will be open to visitors 14.00 – 16.00.

The Day is part of a pilot project funded by the Oxford University’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums and is delivered by the Oxfordshire Museums Service.
