Beyond its initial aims of preserving the character and appearance of the village, the Eynsham Society also seeks to preserve and expand the community spirit which we all appreciate by thinking of future generations. In one small way of helping sustain this aspect, the Society has decided to provide an annual award for school pupils in the village.
The first recipient for this prize was at Bartholomew School’s recent upper school awards evening. Decided by staff, governors and pupils The Eynsham Society Community Spirit Award was made to Lewis Silk - an exemplary student and a brilliant example of the sense of community spirit that Bartholomew School encourages.
