Eynsham Museum says-We will Rock you! 24 Mar 2026 (Eynsham Museum and Heritage Centre) The Museum re-opens on Saturday, 4th and Monday 6th April. (closed Easter Sunday)

Eynsham Museum says “We will, we will Rock you!” – apologies to Queen!

We have plenty of amazing 'rocks' in the museum now, carved ones from Eynsham's famous abbey and the oldest human artefact found in Eynsham, a stone handaxe at least 200,000 years old. They are all part of the long story of Eynsham, from prehistory to the 21st century, which we are attempting to illustrate in our now permanent exhibition. There are lots of new items on display but we have also kept the working model of Eynsham's lost railway that has been so popular.

Eynsham’s builders, designers and creators have always been innovative from ancient times onwards. Our latest exhibits bring that story right up to date showcasing the work of Eynsham’s world leading high tech companies.

Eynsham Museum and Heritage Centre is reopening, at the Bartholomew Room in The Square, on Saturday 4 April at 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and, although we are closed on Easter Sunday we are open on the Bank Holiday. Thereafter we open every weekend and Bank Holiday until the end of October.

We look forward to welcoming you!
