News from the library 21 May 2025 (Eynsham Library) update on regular events and news of upcoming activities at the library

New colleague

We are very happy to welcome our new colleague Suzanne, who will be working at the library on Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturdays.

Regular events and activities

The library has a number of regular events and some ongoing activities...

Rhymetime happens every Monday afternoon from 2.00 -2.30 including during school holidays. Parents and carers of babies and toddlers are welcome to bring them along to this free event where we sing a variety of nursery rhymes and actions songs together.

Digital helper

We have a volunteer digital helper with us on Friday afternoons to assist with all things online and provide support with devices such as smart phones and tablets.

Call in to the library or phone us to book an appointment.

Creative activities/jigsaw table

We have free colouring sheets available for both adults and children to take home or to complete in the library. A new addition is our jigsaw table. Call in to spend some time working on the current puzzle and choose the next one if you complete it :)

Half term week space themed storytime session with local author Sue Palmer Weds 28th May 2.00-3.00  call in to book a place.

Green week junk modelling event Saturday June 7th 10.00-12.00 

Launch of the annual Summer Reading Challenge July 5th 

This year's theme is "Story Garden"; Children aged up to 11 sign up to read 6 books during the summer holidays and receive rewards along the way and a certificate and medal on completion... Linked events will be happening during July and August. More news soon...
