Despite the threat of showers a large number of people turned up in the afternoon to enjoy the festival.
Highlights included:
A plant based food competition hosted by Green TEA and Milly Chen, with Ursula Howard winning with a german apple cake
Apple identification by Heather Horner
The Nature Recovery Network giving a series of talks
Julie Macken of Neve's Bees talking about bees and bee keeping
Craft demonstrations and activities from Janet Farnsworth, Kay Ayres and David Knight
Tree sales courtesy of Jonathan Ferrier
Children's activities thanks to Stephanie Vendryes and Terri Frecker
And apples, raw, cooked and pressed.
All in all it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the field and what the Peace Oak has to offer.
