I thought you might like to know that yesterday I received a certificate from the RBL to say that for the 2018-2019 Poppy Appeal I achieved the highest percentage increase over the previous year within Oxfordshire, as the Poppy Appeal Organiser for Eynsham! A tad late, but better late than never.
Of course, I didn't achieve this without the help of the Eynsham branch of RBL and more importantly, the people in the village who bought poppies and donated so generously. Thank you everyone. The money raised helps not just veterans and their families of WW1 and WW2, but the many current servicemen and women who suffer pain and hardship whether it be physically or mentally or otherwise.
Our Armed Forces and their families are truly remarkable people who thoroughly deserve to be supported by the citizens of the country they serve. Thank you again for thinking about them when you next purchase a poppy.
