Eynsham Art Window opened at 66 Mill Street in November 2020, by arrangement with the premises behind. It was the brainchild of Alison Holmans, who acted as manager and curator, supported by Peter Shrimpton and Jane Tomlinson. it provided a bright, new, Covid-safe exhibition space for artists of Eynsham and surrounding villages, with their contact details clearly shown though no money changed hands onsite. Displays of amazing scale and variety changed every month, often focussing strongly on environmental issues; a small selection appears below.
Eynsham Art Window closed in July 2023, when Alice Walker took over the premises as a studio and for art classes.
The project continued as a virtual window on Facebook, supporting local arts and crafts but especially ‘The Forever Fields Project’: a response to Botley West Solar Farm proposals.
