An Afternoon of Orchestral Classics in Eynsham
Join us for a wonderful afternoon of live music on Saturday 7th March, as the Freeland Orchestra and the West Oxfordshire Clarinets team up for a joint concert at St Leonard’s Church.
Starting at 3:30 pm, the program offers a perfect mix of symphonic masterpieces and unique ensemble works. The Freeland Orchestra will perform Beethoven’s spirited Prometheus Overture and Haydn’s majestic Symphony No. 104, bringing the drama and elegance of the classical era to life.
The West Oxfordshire Clarinets will showcase the rich, versatile sound of the clarinet choir, featuring the sparkling energy of Strauss’s Die Fledermaus Overture. The choir will also perform a selection of shorter works, including a rare treat: a piece by Catozzi highlighting the deep, resonant tones of the contrabass clarinet.
