DESCRIPTION:Join invertebrate expert and author Linda Losito, leaf-hopper specialist Dr. Mike Wilson, and artist Alice Walker for a hands-on workshop at Mill Street Arts.\n\nYou’ll learn to identify a variety of invertebrate speciesfound at Eynsham's Long Mead Wildlife Site - discovering the secret lives of spiders, bugs, and beetles - before exploring creative techniques to draw some of the species you’ve observed using microscopes. \n\nThis Wild Arts workshop is part of a series of workshops focusing on the value of combining scientific learning with artistic expression run by the Nature Recovery Network.\n\nBoth science and art require close and sustained attention to the subjects under scrutiny, both require understanding, both require interpretation and communication.
